Welcome to Lyng Parish Council

Lyng is a village situated 10 miles North-East of East Dereham and 12 miles North-West of the city of Norwich.

 

The Parish Council

Lyng Parish Council comprises of seven Council Members who live in the village and work together to represent the Village on various matters. The Parish Council is the third tier of Local Government after Breckland District Council and Norfolk County Council.

For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the Elmham and Mattishall division of Norfolk County Council and the Upper Wensum ward of Breckland District Council.

The Council usually meets on the third Wednesday of odd months; January, March,  May, July, September and November. Meetings are held in Lyng Village Hall and start at 7.30pm.

The public is very welcome to attend and we encourage people to speak during the open forum which is part of each formal meeting.

NEXT PARISH COUNCIL MEETING 

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Wednesday 21st April 2021 at 7.30pm and will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions, raise concerns and talk informally with the Parish Council.

The Annual Parish Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 19th May 2021 starting at 7.30pm. Members of the public welcome to attend.

Future Parish Council meetings are scheduled as follows;

21st July 2021

15th September 2021
